I’m a Muslim First is a compilation of poems which focused upon the many aspects which differ among people, especially Msulims. Despite the book celebrating the differences we have based upon ethnicity, nationality, ability, gender, as well as socio-economic status, I’m a Muslim First! reminds Muslims that the bond of the Shahadahtayn takes priority over anything which may distinguish us from each other. We pray to Allah that tis book will assist parents struggling to convey the authentic Muslim response to the many challenges our Muslim children are facing with regards to identity in these difficult times.
