Terms of Service

To use Kawthar, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years or older.
• Have a valid invitation code. Kawthar is an invitation-only platform. You must have received a valid invitation code from an existing member or administrator to create an account.
• Provide accurate information. You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

When you create an account on Kawthar:

• Your account will be placed in a pending status until reviewed and approved by our team.
• We reserve the right to approve or reject any account at our sole discretion.
• You may sign up using email/password or Google OAuth. Both methods require a valid invitation code.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must not share your account or invitation codes in ways that violate these Terms.

Kawthar provides the following services to its verified community:

• Events: Discover Islamic community events, classes, lectures, and gatherings in your area. Events are curated from local mosques and community organizations.
• Marketplace: Buy and sell halal products through verified local vendors. Marketplace transactions are facilitated through secure payment processing.
• Groups: Create and join community groups for shared interests, meetups, and discussions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Post, upload, or share content that is hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts, our systems, or data.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform without our written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers connected to it.
• Share your invitation code publicly or sell invitation codes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

If you use Kawthar's Marketplace as a buyer or seller:

• Buyers: All purchases are subject to the seller's policies and applicable laws. We facilitate transactions but are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.
• Sellers: You must accurately describe your products, fulfill orders promptly, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and halal certification requirements.
• Payments: Transactions are processed through Stripe. By using the Marketplace, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• Taxes: Applicable sales taxes are calculated and collected automatically based on the buyer's location.

By posting content on Kawthar (including group discussions, product listings, and event information), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Platform. You retain ownership of your content.

You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
