Description
With colorful illustrations, stories, poems and simple English, Islam for Younger People teaches kids the very basics of Islam. Written by the author of one of the earlier Islamic studies textbooks for children entitled Islam: Beliefs and Teachings, this is an attractive and interesting guide to the basic beliefs of Islam for children ages 6 to 11. Stories like that of Sharfuddin Yahya emphasize the great respect parents are owed; worksheets at the end of each chapter help children remember what they have learned. Islam For Younger People also includes a discussion of the five basic Islamic duties and four short surahs (chapters) of the Quran in Arabic, English and their English translitteration. This short book is a necessary resource for parents, teachers and students of young Muslim children!
