
The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) is a unifying federation of over 70 Islamic member organizations, including mosques, schools, and community groups across the Chicagoland region. Located at 231 S. State Street in Chicago, it serves as an advocate for Muslim community interests and works with interfaith partners, government, media, and the public. The organization offers programs in civic engagement, education, social services, and youth initiatives.
Local zakat collection and distribution. Campaigns include Fighting Hunger, Emergency Cash Assistance (rent, heating, transit), Refugee Assistance, Mental Health Counseling, New Muslim Support, Education aid and Winter Kits. Supports seven Muslim-operated food pantries.
