BiographyKambium 'Kam' Buckner is the incumbent Democratic state representative for Illinois House District 26 on Chicago's South Side, appointed in January 2019 and elected in 2020, 2022, and 2024. He earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, interned for U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, and previously served as executive director of World Sport Chicago and as the Chicago Cubs' manager of neighborhood and government relations.
