This session covers the standard operating procedures for the ICN Food Pantry Program. Our goal is to provide essential groceries to eligible households within a 20-mile radius of ICN 12South. Food distribution occurs on the first weekend of every month.
Volunteer Tasks & Workflow:
Pickup: Collecting food supplies and donations from designated vendors or storage areas.
Prep & Sort: Organizing bulk items and checking for quality/expiration to ensure all food meets safety standards.
Package: Assembling standardized grocery bundles based on the current month's distribution list.
Deliver: Transporting packaged groceries directly to the addresses listed on the approved application list.
Important Reminders:
Radius: All deliveries must remain within the 20-mile limit.
Confidentiality: Please handle all recipient address and contact information with privacy and respect.
Timeline: Deliveries should be completed during the scheduled weekend window to ensure families receive their monthly supplement on time.
